Kasturi Restaurant, London

If you want a taste of India at a reasonable price, head straight to Kasturi. A restaurant that has been serving authentic Indian dishes for more than two decades, it has won the British Curry Award, and its food continues to win it recognition. The chefs here specialize in Pakhtoon cuisine (food prepared in the juices of meats and vegetables with a minimal use of fat). Barwan Aloo makes for a good starter, and Dahi Machli is arguably the most popular entree. The Business Buffet is also a good option if you come in between 11a and 3p on weekdays, and there are high chairs and an exclusive children's menu for the little ones. Private parties are also hosted here.
