The impressive Lambeth Palace has been the London home for the Archbishops of Canterbury for centuries. This historic building is still important to the Church of England which has an office there and often holds charitable events. There are several interesting sites here, including the 15th Century Morton's Tower, the 14th Century Guard Room, the 13th Century Chapel, and the oldest portion of the palace: The Crypt. The grounds also house the impressive Lambeth Palace Library. There are guided tours of the Lambeth Palace available.
