The Lewisham Arthouse was formerly The Deptford Central Library which was shut down in 1991 to give way to this artistic venture that began in the late 1990s. The Arthouse is managed by the members who have contributed to the maintenance and renovation of the structure. The building houses 45 studio spaces that are mainly used by emerging artists. The studios are also used to host various exhibitions and workshops that can by enjoyed by the guests.
