In 2000, the owners of LMNT renovated a rundown, neighborhood pub, on the otherwise bleak Queenbridge Road, but rather than the usual leather sofas and kettle crisps, they created an eatery stuffed with exotic kitsch; one table is inside an enormous urn, another at the feet of a Sphinx, another on a wooden balcony. Given all this careful and creative attention to decor, it is a relief that they haven't forgotten the main reason for dining out; the food. Good quality fare at friendly prices means a trip to this extraordinary restaurant really is worth the effort.
