Though not as popular as its counterpart on Edgware Road that offers belly-dancing entertainment, this one is as famous for being one of the oldest in the neighborhood. Maroush Gardens has a huge dining room and the cheery ambiance provides just the mood for a good binge. Expect to see quite a few portly businessmen enjoying a leisurely meal here. Start off with a glass of arak, a traditional brew, to whet your appetite. Garnishing and spices are plenty in each dish, resulting in wondrous aromas and tastes, yet retaining the original flavor of the meat. Dine on hummus, falafel, grilled halloumi and baba ghanoush at decent rates.
