More than a restaurant, the splendid interior of the Ritz Restaurant resembles that of a grand ballroom, and the exquisite chandeliers add to the vintage effect. The contemporary cuisine should be tried on a hungry stomach, especially the heavy Butter Poached Lobster with Parsnip Paillette and Braised Oxtail. While quiet afternoons can be reserved for tea with cucumber sandwiches and scones, weekends are choc-a-bloc with traditional dancing to a four piece band. The Saute of Sea Scallops with Confit Potatoes and Chorizo Salad are particularly good.
