Smiths of Smithfield is set out over four floors of a vast building overlooking the famous Smithfield Meat Market. The ground floor is a cafe-bar that attracts a huge mix of people with its leather lounging sofas and all-day breakfasts. One floor up is a chic cocktail and champagne bar with a theme of black and red leather to offset the shiny metal bar counter. Up the stairs again, you find a smart but funky dining room serving casual quality food such as organic chicken and spiced duck with green papaya salad; but the best part is the fabulous fine-dining room on the roof, with a terrace over the meat market. Smiths takes full advantage of the meat market as the menu is full of top-quality, rare breed meat. It's all organic and additive-free.
