Overview
With over 900 years of history, this is one of the oldest city churches in London that is dedicated to the memory of the Virgin Mary. There have been many churches that have filled this site over the years, but this most recent one being rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666. There are also some notable people buried here, including the poet John Milton, with tributes to Rene Baudouin, James Braidwood and others. The church has recently undergone extensive renovations and is now sparkling clean for patrons and visitors to enjoy.
