White Horse (The), London

The White Horse, or the Sloaney Pony as it is more fondly known, is found at the corner of Parson's Green, the patch of green after which this affluent corner of the city is named. A favorite of media types, estate agents and beautiful wannabes drawn from the many studios nearby, the feel of this pub is definitely at the ornate end of traditional. A large wooden bar is the centerpiece, murals with a classical theme curl round the walls, and old leather couches let you sit next to the cozy coal hearth. The menu offers a limited but delicious range of upmarket dishes. A colorful new, non-smoking dining area has recently been completed.
