Ashlea (The), Manchester

Stop by The Ashlea, a traditional pub housed in a beautiful old building offering a range of cask ales and an excellent wine list, as well as reliably good food. The menu includes most pub favorites, including beef and ale pie, fish and chips, and the excellent Aberdeen Angus burger. Most main dishes come at a low price, although more expensive dishes are available on the specials boards. Portions are large, but try to leave room for one of the hearty puddings, treacle sponge or apple pie to name but two. The pub’s interior is cozy and welcoming (try to get a seat by the fire in winter), but when weather permits , there is outside seating available.
