Barca Bar & Restaurant, Manchester

This well-known bar is famous for several reasons. First, until recently it was part-owned by Mick Hucknall of the band Simply Red, and second, it was one of the first bars to be established in the now thriving Castlefield Basin re-development.Converted from two railway arches, Barça successfully manages to create a light, airy, sophisticated style which is extremely popular at weekends and during the summer months. The bar serves delicious tapas, or small plates. There is a private VIP bar and restaurant area available upstairs, as well as special outside seating for private parties.
