The tree-lined space of Old Eldon Square is a popular meeting and gathering place in the city center, especially on warm summer days, and where better to retire for food or refreshments than Boskoops? Climb the stone steps from street level and then go up the wooden stairs to the two high-ceiling rooms, with wooden flooring and wooden tables and chairs. Enjoy a main meal of steak, chicken, or pasta, or try one of the various salads, sandwiches, baked potatoes, or pastries. Several choices of coffee or tea are available, as well as wines, spirits, and bottled beers. Boskoops uses the freshest ingredients from local suppliers and farmers. There are few pleasures to equal sipping a cup of refreshing Earl Grey tea while looking out over the leafy square. The steps at the entrance make access difficult for those with mobility problems.
