Brown's is one of the most popular places to eat in Oxford, especially with students. The original branch (Brown's is now found in London and many university towns throughout Britain) is usually packed and bustling. As you can't book here, you'll never be turned away but you will have to wait. At peak times there can even be queues outside. The greenery hanging from the ceiling, along with the large skylight, make the place look almost tropical-looking and it's therefore a relaxing place to indulge in a cocktail or two. The menu is fairly standard, but the portions are large and daily specials (such as sea bass and red snapper) add some variety.
