On a fine day the spectacular views from this, the highest vantage point in the region, take in as many as 13 counties and can stretch as far as the Black Mountains in Wales. Whilst the views from the tower are worth the trip alone, the tower and the surrounding country park provide a variety of attractions and activities for a great day out. Take a look at the exhibitions connected to the tower's colorful past as home to the renowned printing press of Sir Thomas Phillips and country retreat to craftsman and designer, William Morris, among others. See the red deer enclosure, the children's farmyard and adventure playground. Seek out unusual wildlife and wild flowers or take a leisurely walk. Eat in the 16th century Rookery Barn Restaurant or bring your own food and relax in the covered barbecue or open air picnic sites.
