With a subdued exterior and an understated interior., Bombay Spice in an upscale Indian restaurant, rather than a run-of-the-mill curry house. There's a wide-ranging menu here, and a strong emphasis on the unusual, with both duck and fish as specialties of the house. In addition to Cobra lager, there's a good long wine list to cover all tastes. The service is fast and extremely attentive, and the food is exceptional; even when the restaurant is busy the wait for food isn't long. Indeed, a few reviewers claim that Bombay Spice has the best Indian food in York.
