Delifrance, York

This is a branch of a popular chain of continental boulangeries/sandwich bars, offering a wide selection of pastries and appetizingly filled baguettes, all washed down with real French coffee. The main eating area is quite small, although a takeaway service is available, so perhaps its more suited to the tourist on the move throughout the city, especially as it is conveniently close to the York Minster. The European menu consists of mainly breakfasts  and light snacks. Baguettes, croissants and pastries are freshly baked daily in their own bakery on the premises. There's a really good choice of desserts offered too.
