This is a popular, traditional pub practically in the shadow of York Minster and a stone's throw from the York City Art Gallery. It has a welcoming atmosphere and is popular among locals and tourists alike. Though far from being the largest pub in the city, there are plenty of seats, although it can get very busy at peak times.
