Rustique , York

Set opposite the Jorvik Viking Centre and within sight of Clifford's Tower, this is an elegant French restaurant with a wide range of authentic dishes to offer. As this is a popular restaurant, it can get quite busy, so thankfully there are quite a few tables. The main dining area is rather long and thin, so at peak times it can feel a little cramped. The food is generally slightly more expensive than most restaurants in York, but it is served by genuine French waiters, and as they say, you get what you pay for. Rustique is a delightful way to experience the flavors and ambiance of a true French café without having to cross the Channel.
