Catherine's Cafe, Antigua

If you were to ask where the hip expatriate residents take their meals in English Harbour, Catherine's Cafe would likely be the answer. Languishing over leisurely lunches, the merry crowd also includes yachtsmen, well-to-do Antiguans and visiting travellers. During the course of any meal, it would not be unusual to see one or more guests leave their table and jump in for a swim, as the restaurant is situated on the water's edge. Breakfast includes good coffee, fruit, croissants and your choice of eggs. Lunch stretches into dinner, and throughout the day the menu includes light but delicious dishes like warm goat cheese with leafy greens, Eggplant Tartin, excellent Moules Marinieres or Fresh Oysters with Lime.
