Overview
This adorable, tiny gingerbread-bedecked West Indian building has an important history. It was once the slave-holding compound, or barracoon, in St. John's, but now it is a store selling locally made art works and crafts. Inside there's a courtyard where slave shackles can still be seen. The building is a little hard to find, but walk down Nevis Street towards the water to find this historic site. Free admission.
