Overview
If you're visiting the city don't forget to check out Green Island, at the extreme eastern end (midway up the coast) of Antigua, just off the coast. Uninhabited, Green Island appears now as it has for thousands of years. The secluded platinum beaches make this isle a favorite stop on boating tours. The fishing is excellent here and snorkelers can delight at the colorful assortment of aquatic life. Come and be a real "Survivor". This island is perfect for a day sail or a beach picnic. Some of the commercial catamarans make it a destination but chances are you'll be without company. The Antigua Yacht Club holds an annual Green Island Race when once everyone gets there, the party begins. All return the following day.
