Horses are a popular recreation in Antigua, and this excellent riding club and stable is a reflection of how seriously Antiguans take this sport. Situated at the base of the hills in Turtle Bay with views over the sea, Spring Hill is the headquartered office of the Antigua Horse Society (AHS) and has the approval of the prestigious Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI). Boasting 15 superb horses (ranging from 14 to nearly 17 hands) and a ménage and jumping arena, it competes impressively in the international FEI dressage event. Call in and check for the annual schedule of competitive events. Trained instructors give lessons at affordable rates. Experienced riders will be given a challenging workout, but new riders and children are welcome, too.
