Overview
A rustic and humble fishing village, Sweeting's Cay is home to 400 people who make their living from the sea. Located 55 miles east of Freeport and accessible only via boat, many of the residents make a life of selling lobster and conch. The locals are friendly and welcome visitors to experience their way of life. A trip to Sweeting's Cay gives a terrific insight into the culture of the Bahamian people. Don't expect any modern facilities or fancy restaurants electricity and roads were only recently installed. East End Adventures run trips weekly to the island.
