Overview
This small exhibition pays tribute to the first Bahamians, the Lucuyans. The culture was wiped out by European occupation by the 17th century. Luckily, many relics of the ancient civilization still exist today. Here you will find examples of pottery, statues and tools that reflect the culture of the indigenous people. There is also a small replica of a Lucuyan village and information on how their culture operated on a simple but efficient basis. Admission is free.
