Overview
One of the few existing heritage buildings of 18th century Speightstown to get a new lease of life, the Arlington House on Queen Street has been recently converted into a museum. It traces the history of Speightstown and Barbados. The building displays a peculiar architecture which is typically Barbadian and hard to find in Barbados even today. It is an interactive museum in the sense that visitors can view sizable replicas of the sugarcane fields and fishermen's wharfs within it, that have been an integral part of Barbados' history and culture.
