Batts Rock, Barbados

Batts Rock is a picnic spot on the beautiful west coast of the island. It is fully equipped with washrooms and changing facilities, picnic benches, and parking facilities. The facility is managed by the National Conservation Commission, and a beach warden is on duty during the day to assist you. Here you can go swimming and snorkeling, or just enjoy a quiet day at the beach. Only ten minutes away by car from the Bridgetown Cruise Terminal, it is a great spot for a quick dip in the ocean if you have limited time on the island. However, on bank holidays expect a crowd as many organizations hold their picnics here, in addition to families who utilize the beach for recreational activities. -Marsilyn Browne
