Overview

The seven-foot (two-meter) bronze sculpture of Sir Frank Walcott overlooks Rock Village, which was the first village to taste freedom from slavery. Walcott was the man who fought for freedom in the trade union arena. The statue shows Walcott standing on a granite platform in front of a group of people represented by heads looking upwards from ground level. There is also a plaque which denotes his achievements. -Nadia Ali
