Overview
At present the ruins of the Brunet Theatre are the venue of Trinidad's Folkloric Group. The theatre was opened in 1840 and became the centre of Trinidad's culture until March 1901. Famous Cuban artist Robreños and foreigners like the Mexican Juventino Rosas, performed in it. Nowadays the theatre's ruins have been disposed for different shows. Among them, those of the Folkloric Group stand out. They present the Congo legacy, the traditional carnival fashions and the most varied popular dances.
