Benny Bar, Varadero

The first thing you'll notice here is the luminous neon sign of a walking stick and wide rimmed hat. These two icons are emblematic of the late great musician and composer, Benny Moré. The main lounge is furnished with a bar, four stools and four chairs at each of four tables. At the back of the bar is a splendid gramophone waxing Benny's sounds along with other Son musicians; photographs illustrating his career hang from the walls. The reserved area has eight tables for two and the front porch allows for fresh evening air. Perhaps the best aspects at this local favorite are the warm and friendly barmen, who make for a regular clientele.
