Cave of Wonders or 'Cuevas de las Maravillas' is of mythological importance to the indigenous Taino community, who reside in Greater Antilles. The cave is adorned with several paintings by this community, which today are on the verge of extinction. The cave sees Taino rock carvings and many etchings on the mounds. The 800 metre cave was discovered in 1926, but opened to the public much later, in 2003. Boasting of highly unique cave art, the Cave of Wonders is certainly a rare sight.
