Overview

Roughly six kilometers long and 150 meters wide, this park is the perfect spot for family recreation and an afternoon of fresh air. Since 1970, the park has attracted visitors to its caves, which were used for rituals by the indigenous inhabitants of the island. Other features of the park include murals by Jose Ramirez Conde and Amable Sterling, the statue of Caonabo de Abelardo Rodriguez Urdaneta, the Poetry Fountain by Juan de Avalos, restaurants, children's playgrounds and an artificial lake with rowboats.
