Overview

The remains of this 18th-century fort are located in the historic area of Rio Bueno in the Trelawny Parish. The fort was named after Henry Dundas, the British Secretary of War, and was built in his honor in 1778 overlooking the bay. Now, the fort is maintained by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust and visitors are welcomed at no cost to browse the grounds where canons are still poised to shoot across the bay. -Nadia Ali
