The menu here includes such wonderful things as Mole (a dark chili sauce flavored with spices like chocolate,) Tampiqueña (a tender cut of beef steak,) Pozole (a stew that includes grains of maize and slices of pork, prepared in a white stock and garnished with lettuce,) Menudo (tripe cooked in a tomato and hot chili stock,) Caldo tlalpeño (a spicy chicken stock served with chopped vegetables,) and an endless list of typical Mexican plates both savory and sweet, including a maize flan for dessert. A warm and friendly staff serves all of these dishes. The restaurant looks like a small plaza with a fountain in the middle, and you can often listen to local folk music here.
