El Mandil Verde is a restaurant visited primarily by villagers and during the tourist season, by foreigners. The Mexican food is its forte. The pozole (stew of maize grains cooked with meat of pig and served with lettuce and spices), a delicacy of Guerrero, is served on Thursdays, when the crowds come rushing in. Also on the menu is smooth Tampiqueña meat (from the head of cattle) served with enchiladas, frijoles, and guacamole with totopos (oil fried maize tortilla pieces). In addition they serve tortillas with a cooked-at-home flavour. The place is simple in its decoration, but has a pleasant atmosphere and good service.
