Tropicana Inn & Bar, Cabo San Lucas

The Tropicana Inn is a stylish hacienda staple of San Jose del Cabo. This delightful boutique hotel offers forty rooms and an extraordinary menu from a two-story restaurant complete with everything—from elegant saloon-style Mexican bars to an outdoor open-air café-style setting, where diners can enjoy the shade and a cool breeze while watching pedestrians sweat on one of the main sidewalks leading into the heart of historic San Jose del Cabo. The ambiance and architecture are like an exquisite breath of fresh tropical air, and the Mexican cuisine is top-notch. The prices are a little steep and you might end up paying the normal Cabo tourist prices for beers and margaritas (four dollars or more), but the setting is fantastic and the food is delicious. The prices are not exorbitant, and a meal at Tropicana Inn is always a great decision. Enjoy the Cuban live music show every Friday and Saturday in a beautiful setting. - Matthew Dexter
