At a distance it is possible to see the impressive 5 metre-high spurts of this set of geothermic fountains, surrounded by steam and giving them an almost dreamlike quality. Near the geysers there is a 30 metre waterfall, as well as a small brook which flows into the town of Ixcatán, and Cerro de La Cruz hill. The latter is worth climbing, for the view of the Río Santiago ravine and the village.
