Originally opened in 1918 in an 18th Century building the Museo Regional de Guadalajara (Regional Museum of Guadalajara) features exhibits on the history and culture of the region. The history starts with the very first settlers of this area of Jalisco all the way through the Revolution and the present. Among the exhibitions, visitors will find archaeological artifacts, furniture, colonial paintings as well as more modern Mexican paintings by the likes of Diego Rivera and Dr. Atl.
