"Come & Chill," beckons the sign on the window of Creme Violet Cafe in Mexico City's Zona Rosa. Located one half block south of the Monumento de la Independencia (El Angel), Creme Violet is a purple-hued small café that attracts loungers who want to hang out with their friends. The décor is tongue-in-cheek splendid, with crystal chandeliers, plush draperies, and overstuffed chairs that belie the café's relaxed ambiance. Open from early in the morning until the post-dinner hours, Crème Violet makes a nice spot for dessert, and serves ice cream, crepes, and pastries.
