The collection of Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes is composed of murals made by artists belonging to the early 20th Century. These are mostly displayed on the floors between the lower and the upper-most floor of Palacio de Bellas Artes. Among the prized possessions of the museum includes the replica of the original El Hombre En El Cruce de Caminos (Man at the Crossroads), which was commissioned for New York's Rockefeller Center in 1933. This replica was done by Rivera in 1934. Besides, you can also find Rivera's work of the Carnaval de la Vida Mexicana and David Alfaro Siqueiros' three-part La Nueva Democracía. The paintings of José Clemente Orozco are depiction of the conflict of humankind's natural and social aspects. Apart from the permanent exhibit, the museum also organized temporary exhibits of classical and contemporary art from time to time. Visit their website or call to know more.
