El Hamburger, San Juan

The best musicians, athletes and their fans from all over Puerto Rico frequent this typical hang out. The Hamburger building itself is little more than an extended stand with an open kitchen and about two-dozen tables crowded into an intimate space. But with fresh-made burgers and fries drenched with taste, it is an unbeatable spot for late night munchies. Groups pour in from Old San Juan after a night of dancing to enjoy the thick hamburger patties and even better people-watching. And given the extended hours, there's no way to go wrong anytime you want to stop by. - Rachel Hiskes
