Guanica's Beaches, San Juan

Guanica is divided into four distinct areas: Tamarindo, Jaboncillo, Manglillo Grande, and Manglillo Pequeño. Each offers recreational facilities. Tamarindo has an extensive beach and offers calm, crystal clear waters. Jaboncillo is a great venue for picnics and features picnic tables, restrooms, and plenty of natural shade provided by guayacan and tamarind trees. Manglillo Grande and Manglillo Pequeño are so named because of their beautiful red mangroves. Families and small children visit these beaches because of their shallow and calm waters. The Department of Natural Resources oversees the maintenance and management of all of these beaches.
