Overview
Rincon is Spanish for 'corner'. The beaches in the northwest 'corner' of Puerto Rico extend from the Atlantic on the north to the Caribbean along the south. Attracting international acclaim due to the size of the surf, Rincón's surfers come from all over the world. Some test their skills at Surfer and Wilderness, while others seek out Domes, María's and Dogman's beaches. Tres-Palmas, considered the most challenging, is where the reef breaks a quarter mile offshore and the waves soar to 35 feet.
