As you drive from Charlestown and enter Gingerland, you can see the bright red roof of this church just before you make a sharp left turn onto the main road. You have now reached the village of Market Shop, and if you go straight here down Hanley's Road, you will come to the pretty historic church. It dates to 1670 and was rebuilt twice because of severe earthquakes, the latest in 1959. The steeple is offset and surrounded by tropical greenery, making the sight a picture-postcard scene.
