Overview
This Orthodox synagogue, built in the pre-state days of 1931, has recently been refurbished and has an attractive marble bimah. As well as the main synagogue, there is a small prayer room where weekday morning services are held (everyday at 6:15a).On Saturday morning, services begin at 7:45a and other serice times vary according to the time of year, so it is best to call ahead for a schedule. The synagogue welcomes tourists and holds Ashkenazi style services. The synagogue's rabbi of 35 years passed away recently, so his four sons (all rabbis) run the Shabbat services in rotation.
