Overview
From the thriving port, the city climbs the fertile slopes of the Carmel mountains, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Mediterranean. As well as the famous Tikotin Japanese Museum and the Stella Maris Monastery, the most impressive sight is the Bahai Shrine—the stunning gold-domed centrepoint for the Bahai religion. Haifa has a good variety of cafés and restaurants, as well as the famous Cinematheque. The city's excellent climate and European atmosphere make it an ideal resting point.
