Al-Boom, Kuwait City

Al-Boom is one of the finest restaurants in Kuwait. 'Al-Boom' in Arabic means the traditional Gulf dhow boat, which is where the restaurant is located, within the perimeters of the SAS Radisson Hotel. The restaurant is only open for dinner and reservations are a must. For appetizers there is a sophisticated cold buffet which has large fresh shrimps year-round, plus a first-class selection of smoked meats and fish. The main course is a la carte, with a good variety of both Mediterranean and international dishes to choose from. Al-Boom is best known for its excellent grills, and you can watch the cooks grilling fresh meat, chicken or fish. The dress code is formal. And be warned, the prices are very high.
