The Kuwait Aquarium is one of the most splendid outings Kuwait has to offer. Even Prince Andrew of England visited it when he visited Kuwait. Despite being called the Aquarium, this name belies the fact that is offers much more about Kuwait's natural history. To begin with, the Aquarium opens with displays, which give a wonderful introduction to the Kuwaiti culture and heritage of the desert. You are then shown many beautiful desert creatures displayed behind a glass pane, in a simulated natural habitat. After these exhibits, the actual aquarium is to be found. The hi-tech aquarium is divided into two parts: shallow water and deep sea creatures. There are guides on hand to explain everything. The Aquarium is a must see. Admission: KD3 adults, KD2 children from 3-13 years of age and free for infants under 2 years of age.
