Located in Besiktas neighborhood which lies in the European part of Istanbul, the Barbaros Park is one of the most sought after open spaces in the city. It is not uncommon to spot families with children on weekends and national holidays. Amorous couples and visitors to the city make the most of the parks breezy location by the waterside. Watch out for the mausoleum and statue of the brave Turkish admiral, Hayreddin Barbarossa. This park is often used to host concerts, festivals and parties during summers when all off the city descends here for rapturous night-long celebrations
