Overview

This site, the location of an ancient Sinagua village inhabited from about 1070-1275 CE, makes archeology and the study of ancient people available to the public. This site was thought to be part of an extensive trading system evidenced by items from as far away as Mexico and California found in the village. Although this site is open to the public at any time there are guided tours and events presented by the Arizona Natural History Association and the Elden Pueblo Archeology Project. Call to check for tour and event availability and times. This exciting site makes for a great easily accessible archaeological adventure and at just one mile north of the Flagstaff Mall, it is also easy to get to. -Herman Sims
