This historic theater is a local landmark. Flagstaff’s first movies were shown at the Majestic Opera House, which was built in 1911. That building collapsed with a mega snowstorm a few years later, and it reopened as the bigger Orpheum in 1917. Lovingly restored in 2002, The Orpheum now has a state-of-the-art sound system, full bar, lounge and updated seating. Shows include national and local acts, as well as movie classics and films festivals. There’s always something good going on here (check the website to find out what is playing and when).
